Storm Interface is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its AudioNav family: a new 21-key model with extended functionality and a numeric keypad.
Building on Storm Interface’s long-standing commitment to accessible self-service and a product lineage that dates back to 2005, AudioNav has become a trusted solution for organisations seeking to make kiosks more accessible, intuitive and reliable. Originally developed to support people with visual impairments, AudioNav has evolved into a global accessibility standard for self-service keypads.
Designed for exposed, high-traffic environments, AudioNav EF+ provides access to information, products and services through self-service kiosks while supporting users with a wide range of needs.
Self-service technology should offer more than one way to interact. For people with a visual impairment, a touchscreen alone can create barriers when controls are difficult to locate or operate without visual feedback. A physical keypad, combined with audio guidance, provides an alternative way to navigate menus and enter information such as PINs, reference numbers and other numeric data. This is particularly important in applications where accurate number entry is essential to completing a transaction independently.

Accessibility requirements for kiosks are also gaining regulatory attention internationally. South Korea, for example, has introduced kiosk accessibility requirements that include measures such as audio guidance and compatible assistive interfaces. By also helping to meet the hardware requirements of EN 301 549 and the ADA Standards, the AudioNav EF+ allows kiosk manufacturers to incorporate physical interaction into their accessibility strategy, giving users another way to access self-service technology.
As with all Storm Interface products, durability and reliability are central to the design. AudioNav EF+ has also undergone rigorous shock and vibration testing beyond standard limits, with testing reaching 250 high-intensity shock cycles under maximum conditions. This demonstrates its suitability for demanding environments such as transport, automotive and other high-motion installations where performance must remain consistent over time. At Storm Interface, we believe accessible design should perform in the real world, not just in theory. The new AudioNav EF+ reflects that commitment, combining usability, durability and accessibility in one powerful solution
