The company’s primary activities are the development and manufacture of responsive human interface devices for use in a wide range of public and industrial applications. Under the brand name Storm the company’s award-winning products are now globally deployed, internationally recognised and widely acclaimed.

Manufacturing

Storm’s manufacturing division is based in Maldon, on the east coast of England. This efficient, ISO9001 : 2015 certified, static discharge protected facility utilises the most efficient cellular (lean) manufacturing procedures.

Directors

Keymat Technology Ltd. was formed in March 1986 as a private UK registered company.

The company's founding Directors are Peter Ward (Managing) and Peter Jarvis (Marketing) who, together with Investec Bank (UK) Limited, are the company’s major shareholders.

On 1st October 2004 Keymat Technology changed its trading name to Storm Interface.

Charities

Since 1986 Storm Interface have supported a continuous program of charitable contribution and donation at both corporate level and through activities initiated by individual Storm team members. In 2006 Storm Interface were proud to receive the Queens Award for Enterprise. Their work to improve accessibility for those with sensory, mobility and dexterity impairment has been recognised on both sides of the Atlantic as they received a commendation from Dr. John Gill of the Royal National Institute of Blind People in 2006. In 2018 and 2020 Storm were proud to receive accreditation from the Royal National Institute of Blind People as an 'RNIB Tried and Tested' partner.
